Duties Include: Attend to customers; answer the phone; run a cash

GSA– Center for Charter Schools– seeks Student Office Assistant - University
Relations
Duties Include: Represent the University Relations department and assist
with daily operations including but not limited to assisting administrative
staff, campus errands, event prep, assisting with campus visits, scanning,
copying, and working closely with the Charter Alumni Group. Looking for someone
who enjoys event planning and working in an academic office with strong
interpersonal skills.
Skills Desired: Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of
Teams, PowerPoint and Canva is a plus but not required, can work well with
others as well as independently, complete assigned tasks accurately, work on
special projects or events as assigned, be self-motivated, punctual, reliable,
and present a positive, professional image.

GSA– Center for Charter Schools– seeks Student Ambassador
Duties Include: Center for Charter Schools Student Ambassadors serves as
the face of CMU to prospective students, parents, and partner school staff. As
a campus ambassador, you will lead campus tours, participate in student panels,
and answer questions about life on campus. Apart from meeting perspective
students, you may also work with the Center to create outreach materials, event
set-up and tear-down.
Skills Desired: Maintain awareness and observation of campus fire and
health & safety regulations. Address minor behavioral issues and ensure all
students are always safe, referring more serious issues to a school chaperone
and a Center staff member. Act as a positive role model for CMU. Should
demonstrate punctuality, ethical behavior and integrity while giving campus
tours and assisting at events; Be professional, kind, and courteous to visiting
students, partner school staff and families. Ability to work with other student
ambassadors and staff members as a team during special projects and large
volume events such as Fire up for the Future and Experience Central. Student
Ambassadors can expect to work between 5-6 hours per event during the academic
year. Attendance at training sessions and events is a requisite of the
position. Work has seasonal peaks and an annual cycle. Specific events will be
given in advance.

WORK-STUDY – Communication
Sciences and Disorders – seeks a Materials Center Student Assistant
Duties Include: Management and maintenance of the CSD Materials and
Equipment within the Materials Library. This includes returning items that have
been checked out and reshelving, maintaining materials inventory, maintenance
and repair of containers items are housed in, and cleaning materials and
shelves.
Skills Desired: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and use of a
hand-held barcode scanner. Will be trained to use the library program.
Schedule: Between hours of 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday,
preference given to the most qualified applicants with late afternoon/early
evening availability. Preferred availability is to work 2 - 4 hour blocks of
time on multiple days, Monday through Thursday for a total of 8 hours per week.

Online – seeks Student Assistant
Duties Include: Create, edit, and manage multimedia content using Adobe
Express for websites and social media platforms. Implement social media best
practices to schedule, post, and monitor content across various social media
channels. Utilize Adobe Express and other video editing software to produce
high-quality video content that aligns with the University's brand and
messaging. Perform data entry tasks, including maintaining and updating
databases and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Prepare presentations, reports,
and documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for internal and
external communications.
Skills Desired: Good communication and listening skills, dependability and

WORK-STUDY – Social Work
Program – seeks Student Assistant
Duties Include: Serves as primary receptionist, answering the main phone
line, responding to emails, and greeting visitors. Schedules advising
appointments and assists in maintaining the office appointment system by
adjusting appointments as needed. Maintains and organizes program electronic
files and accesses information as appropriate for staff and faculty. Assists
with word processing and entering information into spreadsheets as assigned.
Assists with designing and preparing program promotional materials, social media
posts, and office bulletin boards.
Skills Desired: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail,
customer service, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to project a

hours may be required, to facilitate events or breaking news coverage. At
WCMU’s discretion, the successful candidate for this position may be offered
employment during the summer as well.
