GSA and WORK-STUDY – Bookstore – seeks Clerk
Duties Include: Attend to customers; answer the phone; run a cash register; receive merchandise; stock shelves; pull, process, and pack online orders; and work events.
Skills Desired
: Good communication and listening skills, valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to stand for long periods of time, dependability, and willingness to learn new tasks.
Schedule
: Flexible with classes; hours vary; Mon-Fri shifts with some weekends.

GSA– Center for Charter Schools– seeks Student Office Assistant - University Relations
Duties Include: Represent the University Relations department and assist with daily operations including but not limited to assisting administrative staff, campus errands, event prep, assisting with campus visits, scanning, copying, and working closely with the Charter Alumni Group. Looking for someone who enjoys event planning and working in an academic office with strong interpersonal skills.
Skills Desired
: Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of Teams, PowerPoint and Canva is a plus but not required, can work well with others as well as independently, complete assigned tasks accurately, work on special projects or events as assigned, be self-motivated, punctual, reliable, and present a positive, professional image.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 20 hours per week 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.

GSA– Center for Charter Schools– seeks Student Ambassador
Duties Include: Center for Charter Schools Student Ambassadors serves as the face of CMU to prospective students, parents, and partner school staff. As a campus ambassador, you will lead campus tours, participate in student panels, and answer questions about life on campus. Apart from meeting perspective students, you may also work with the Center to create outreach materials, event set-up and tear-down.
Skills Desired
: Maintain awareness and observation of campus fire and health & safety regulations. Address minor behavioral issues and ensure all students are always safe, referring more serious issues to a school chaperone and a Center staff member. Act as a positive role model for CMU. Should demonstrate punctuality, ethical behavior and integrity while giving campus tours and assisting at events; Be professional, kind, and courteous to visiting students, partner school staff and families. Ability to work with other student ambassadors and staff members as a team during special projects and large volume events such as Fire up for the Future and Experience Central. Student Ambassadors can expect to work between 5-6 hours per event during the academic year. Attendance at training sessions and events is a requisite of the position. Work has seasonal peaks and an annual cycle. Specific events will be given in advance.

WORK-STUDY – Communication Sciences and Disorders – seeks a Materials Center Student Assistant
Duties Include: Management and maintenance of the CSD Materials and Equipment within the Materials Library. This includes returning items that have been checked out and reshelving, maintaining materials inventory, maintenance and repair of containers items are housed in, and cleaning materials and shelves.
Skills Desired
: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and use of a hand-held barcode scanner. Will be trained to use the library program.
Schedule
: Between hours of 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, preference given to the most qualified applicants with late afternoon/early evening availability. Preferred availability is to work 2 - 4 hour blocks of time on multiple days, Monday through Thursday for a total of 8 hours per week.

Duties Include: A Creating social media content; researching department programs for points of pride and differentiators to highlight in social media post; support department newsletter content; elevate current social media platforms with consistent and effective content. Answering phones, electronic filing, mailroom and office supply stocking, faculty project support, and excel spreadsheet work.

: Self-motivated, skilled with Adobe Creative products, fluent in creating social media content, desire to elevate the department and CMU brand.

Duties Include
: Assist and courteously serve customers; prep, serve, and cook assorted foods using various equipment and utensils; assist in keeping kitchen and service areas clean and sanitized; follow all safety and food handling guidelines; report to full-time employees as assigned; attend and complete employee trainings and meetings as scheduled; become familiar with and follow all CMU Campus Dining policies and standards; complete other duties as assigned.
Skills Desired
: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.; must be able to handle temperature changes including putting stock away in coolers and/or freezers; must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; must be able to push loaded stock carts; prior food service and/or customer service experience.

GSA and WORK-STUDY – Innovation Online – seeks Student Assistant
Duties Include: Create, edit, and manage multimedia content using Adobe Express for websites and social media platforms. Implement social media best practices to schedule, post, and monitor content across various social media channels. Utilize Adobe Express and other video editing software to produce high-quality video content that aligns with the University's brand and messaging. Perform data entry tasks, including maintaining and updating databases and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Prepare presentations, reports, and documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for internal and external communications.
Skills Desired
: Good communication and listening skills, dependability and time management, experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Express, and knowledge of social media best practices.

Located within the Charles V Park Library building, the University Library and the Clarke Historical Library offer flexible hours, a variety of responsibilities, and a desirable work environment. WORK-STUDY – School of Music – seeks Orchestra Librarian
Only Music Students Need Apply
Duties Include: Prepare, collect, and distribute folders for CMUSO concert cycles. Photocopy practice parts for inside string players. Track originals and communicate with the Director of Orchestral Activities regarding missing parts. Return and properly maintain rental parts. Assist principal string players with bowings as needed. Maintain and organize the orchestra portion of the music library.

WORK-STUDY – Social Work Program – seeks Student Assistant  
Duties Include: Serves as primary receptionist, answering the main phone line, responding to emails, and greeting visitors. Schedules advising appointments and assists in maintaining the office appointment system by adjusting appointments as needed. Maintains and organizes program electronic files and accesses information as appropriate for staff and faculty. Assists with word processing and entering information into spreadsheets as assigned. Assists with designing and preparing program promotional materials, social media posts, and office bulletin boards.
Skills Desired
: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to project a positive and professional image. Ability to work independently and to think critically. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, and ability to type and enter data accurately. Sensitivity in working with matters of a confidential nature. Graphic and/or desktop publishing skills are highly desirable.
Schedule: 10-15 hours per week as arranged by the supervisor. Work hours will primarily be between 8 – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Must be eligible for Work-Study.

Duties Include: Work with campus partners and off-campus clients to produce events all over campus. Assist with manual event tasks including delivery, set-up, removal of event furniture. Assist with event technology including A/V systems, lighting, and rigging.
Skills Desired: Ability to lift 50 pounds. Knowledge of campus roads and buildings. Attention to detail. Ability to follow written and oral technical instructions. Preference given to candidates with manual labor and/or A/V technology, although no experience required.

Schedule: Specific work hours are determined by management on an as-needed basis. Applicants must be available 15 to 20 hours per week during the academic year. Shifts will be scheduled on weekdays between the hours of 8 – 7 p.m., and will be at least three hours in length. Some evening and weekend hours may be required, to facilitate events or breaking news coverage. At WCMU’s discretion, the successful candidate for this position may be offered employment during the summer as well.
