50 Years of Geology at CMU

The Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at CMU is celebrating 50 years of Geology at CMU with a BIFtieth Celebration the weekend of Homecoming (Oct. 7-8, 2022). Join us for an open house, 50^th anniversary ceremony, and a barbecue on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022. 

Do you have a small item that you think would be a great representation of Geology at CMU? During the ceremony we’ll be looking forward to the next 50 years. What sort of things do we want our successors to know about us? We’ll be archiving mementos in a time-capsule that will be preserved by CMU’s Clarke Historical Library and opened in 2072.
