This page provides updates about interruptions and/or outages related to enterprise level hardware, software, and systems at Central Michigan University.
If the table below is blank, all systems are functioning as they should. If you are experiencing technology-related challenges with something that does not appear, please contact the OIT Help Desk.
Status updates will be made as new information is available. If a system will be down for an extended period of time (days or weeks), the table will indicate as much. Once resolved, related information will remain on the page for three business days.

Friday, August 9, 2024 @ 8:15 a.m. | Network firewall scheduled for upgrade. | CMU’s network firewall will be upgraded between the hours of 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, August 13th and 4 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14th. This will impact all incoming and outgoing campus Internet traffic including main campus academic, administrative, and residential buildings as well as remote campus locations. Faculty, staff, students, and the general public will, at minimum, experience sporadic periods, and possibly the full eight hours, where they will not be able to access websites, Blackboard, servers, systems, email, virtual private network, etc. | Scheduled | |
