Marrs, Jennifer

Biography

Jennifer has been with CMU since 2018.  Prior to starting her position in the Office of Research Compliance, Jennifer worked for the Office of Graduate Studies and the Office of Laboratory and Field Safety.  As the coordinator for the IACUC and IBC committees, some of Jennifer’s duties include:

• Operational/administrative support to the chairs of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
• Provides guidance to investigators about regulatory and policy requirements relating to animal use and care and research using recombinant macromolecules and biohazards
• Assists faculty and staff in submission of IACUC and IBC applications, coordinating committee meetings, facility inspections, necessary training programs and maintains all animal care and use program and biosafety program documentation
