Biography

For nearly 15 years, Marcie Otteman has led Alumni Relations’ efforts to connect and engage CMU’s alumni network of more than 250,000 worldwide. Otteman comes from a long line of CMU graduates; her great-aunts graduated from Central Normal School more than 100 years ago, and her daughter is a fifth-generation CMU Chippewa. 

In her role, Otteman enjoys hearing the stories and memories of fellow alumni while also reliving some of her cherished experiences from her time on campus. Outside of work, Otteman spends time at her lakeside cottage with her yellow lab Chessie, travels and volunteers in the greater Mt. Pleasant community.
