Biography
Dr. Maher Ghanem is an associate professor of general surgery with the Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University. He is a board-certified surgeon with expertise in advanced robotic hepatobiliary, endocrine, foregut, oncologic (gastric and esophageal cancer) surgery. Dr. Ghanem earned his medical degree in 1999. He performed his surgical residency through Damascus University and Central Michigan University. He is dual fellowship trained in endocrine and oncologic surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Pittsburgh (UPMC). Dr. Ghanem performed the first Robotic Whipple and major hepatectomy in the state of Michigan.
