Biography

Preshit Ambade, DrPH, is an assistant professor of research at the Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University and interim director of the master’s and doctoral health administration program at the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions. He has a background in public health policy and health administration, as well as physician training in an integrated allopathic and Ayurvedic medicine system (Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine and Surgery). With extensive academic and nonacademic experience in health policy and expertise in applied econometrics, primary and secondary data analysis, and program and economic evaluation, he has published research articles in several reputable public health journals. Collaborating with Central Michigan University President Neil MacKinnon, Ph.D., his research focuses on workplace mental health and well-being, aging-related health policies, health care financing models, and global health.
