Biography
I am delighted and honored to be a faculty member in the HDFS department! My professional work is centered around young children's playful learning, school-family partnerships, and content area learning in early childhood classrooms.
I have taught in primary grade classrooms, worked as an instructional coach in K-12 classrooms, and worked to prepare preservice teachers in teacher education. I received my doctoral degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education from Michigan State University in 2021. Previously I earned a Masters in Reading Education degree from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's of Elementary Education from Appalachian State University.
