Protocol Review and Meeting Schedule

Within 2 business days of receipt of submission materials, an administrative review will be conducted by IRB staff to verify the completeness of materials and to determine the required level of review. An incomplete application will be returned to the study team for revision prior to official review by the IRB.

Those studies deemed not to fall under the purview of the IRB or eligible for exempt or expedited review will be processed on a rolling basis. The timeline for review once an application is assigned to the IRB for official review is as follows:

• Non-human subjects research applications will be reviewed within one week of submission.
• Exempt research applications will be reviewed within one week of assignment to an IRB Committee Member.
• Expedited research applications will be reviewed within two weeks of assignment to an IRB Committee Member.
