Applying to CMU is straightforward. Head over to our How to Apply page for step-by-step instructions and important deadlines. For summer and fall semesters, aim to apply by April 1 and for spring, by December 1. The earlier you apply, the better your chances are for scholarships and housing options.
Join us for Transfer Visit Day to explore campus, connect with admissions and get financial aid support. You'll receive an unofficial transfer credit evaluation and take part in a campus tour led by a current CMU student.
Transfer Visit Days will resume in the fall.
There are several scholarships available to help ease the cost of your education. As a transfer student, you’ll be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when you apply—no extra application needed. For priority consideration, submit your application by April 1.

New Student Orientation is required for all degree-seeking transfer students. Once CMU has received and processed your enrollment deposit, you can reserve your orientation date. Complete a few self-paced steps and choose between virtual or in-person sessions. Space is limited, so be sure to register early. Reserve your spot through your applicant portal.
